In Hollywood, the pressure on stars to look good and thin is great. So, many people are reportedly using the drug Ozempic to lose weight.
However, the drug has caused a side effect known as “Ozempic face”. Her main features are sunken eyes, thin cheeks and sagging skin causing one to look older than one’s age.
Plastic surgeon Smita Ramanadham told DailyMail.com: “The Ozempic face has essentially the same characteristics we see when patients experience rapid or regular weight loss. We see a loss of volume in the face and when we lose fat in the face we see signs like the cheeks being more sunken, more hanging skin.”
He added: “Sometimes, this can make the person actually look older because the fat in our cheeks is what gives us a more youthful appearance.”
THE Sue Decotisa weight loss doctor who has prescribed Ozempic to thousands of patients, added that weight loss appears more pronounced in those with longer faces because of the way the skin stretches.
More than nine million prescriptions for Ozempic were written in the last three months of 2022 as the drug “conquered” the US and Hollywood.

Surgeons told the Daily Mail that it is unusual for weight loss drugs to cause such a dramatic change in Scott Disick’s appearance. They suggested that other factors may be at play, including whether he was using the drugs aggressively.
Among women, doctors reported that 71-year-old Sharon Osbourne was the most prominent example of the face of Ozempic, after the star revealed that she lost 42 kg on Ozempic and then she couldn’t stop losing weight.
“Her eyes look more sunken, her cheeks have more hollowness. There is also significant volume loss in the face and more wrinkles associated with it.”said doctor, Smita Ramanadham.
