Prince Harry and David Beckham have been friends for years – long before the former met Meghan Markle and left Buckingham Palace for good. In fact, the pair of David and Victoria Beckham reportedly welcomed the former princely couple to the US when they made the decision to move permanently to the other side of the Atlantic. The Beckhams were invited to the princely wedding, and they also invited Harry and Meghan to their son Brooklyn’s wedding to billionaire Nicola Page.
According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, however, things have changed dramatically since then. According to the publication, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are concerned that people in their close circle of friends are giving information about them and their lives to the media. In their quest to find out who was behind this situation, Harry called David Beckham, hinting that he and Victoria might have done something like this.
David Beckham reportedly became enraged and the phone call took a nasty turn. Sources from the football player’s environment state that it is “almost impossible” to restore their relationship.
At the same time, an article by the also British Sun newspaper states: “Meghan Markle was inexplicably afraid that Victoria Beckham was behind it. The idea that Victoria would personally call reporters to give them information is ludicrous – and Davide told Harry about it. He is very protective of Megan and decided to confront the matter head on by contacting his good friend David directly. The two came clean, but it all put the relationship on ice.”
