He leaves hints about his new partner
A few months have passed since Shakira split with Gerard Pique and the Colombian has released a new song.
In her latest single, BZRP Music Session #53, a collaboration with Argentinian DJ Bizarrap, Shakira appears to be throwing barbs at Pique, dropping hints about his current partner.

“I wish you luck with my supposed replacement / I don’t even know what happened to you,” he sings. “You’re so weird I can’t even tell you / I’m worth two out of 22 / You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
Elsewhere, Shakira adds: “He’s got a good man’s name / It’s clear he’s not what he sounds like / He’s got a good man’s name / It’s clear he’s the same as you / For guys like you / I’m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone like you.’
Shakira-Pique split after 11 years
Shakira and Gerard Pique announced their separation in June 2022, after 11 years of marriage.
“We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding,” the relevant statement said.
The split announcement came after reports that the footballer had cheated on Shakira with a 20-year-old.
Three months later, the Colombian singer opened up about her split for the first time to Elle magazine, calling it the “darkest hour of her life”.
“I kept quiet and just tried to handle it all. It’s hard to talk about, mostly because I’m still going through it, because I’m in the public eye, and because our breakup isn’t normal. It has been difficult not only for me, but also for my children. Incredibly difficult,” he had said.
