Turkey: Ready to receive wounded Palestinians from Gaza in its hospitals

Turkey has made the necessary preparations to receive wounded Palestinians and patients with chronic diseases from Gaza to its hospitals for treatment, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said today.

Speaking to reporters after his visit to Uzbekistan, Erdogan also said that Turkey would make efforts to increase pressure on Israel to ensure that wounded Palestinians could be evacuated from Gaza.

As the Turkish president said, during the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Ankara, the two men discussed increasing the daily number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza to at least 500.

The head of American diplomacy saw this proposal positively during his talks with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, Erdogan pointed out.

Ankara will take steps to supply Gaza with ambulances, food, water and medicine in cooperation with other countries, the Turkish president concluded.
