An appeal to all citizens over the age of 60 to go get the vaccine against the corona virus, he addressed on Thursday from the conference “Vaccination and Public Health: Challenges and Prospects” of “Ygeiamou”, the Minister of Health Michalis Chrysochoidis and then referred to the lessons learned but also to the achievements from the period of the pandemic.

“The lesson we learned from Covid is that science can, it has the tools to face all enemies”, noted Mr. Chrysochoidis and through a retrospective on the years of the pandemic, he arrived at the vaccination program of our country, which called “exemplary”.

Next, the Minister of Health referred to the three achievements of the last years: “the first of public health and the second – as he characteristically mentioned, that the Greeks enjoyed a state that proved to serve the citizens perfectly”

The third – he emphasized – is a victory of reason, which is ultimately also “a victory for Democracy as it is a framework of a social contract”.

Health, observed Mr. Chrysochoidis, was a field of political confrontation in the pre-election period, “not by chance”, to underline that “the obligation of the government and the Ministry of Health is to deliver to the citizens a health system with high-level services”.
