- the positivity in all tested samples showed a decrease compared to the previous week
- the number of admissions (n=781) showed a decrease of 22% compared to the average weekly number of admissions in the previous 4 weeks and was lower than the number of admissions in the corresponding week of 2022
- the number of new intubations (n=24) showed an increase compared to the average weekly number of new intubations over the previous 4 weeks (n=21) and was lower than the number of intubations in the corresponding week of 2022
- the number of intubated patients with Covid-19 infection is 41
- 57 deaths were recorded with a median age of 87 years (range 63–96 years). The number of deaths showed a small decrease compared to the average weekly number of deaths in the previous 4 weeks (n=59) and was lower than the number of deaths in the corresponding week of

- in the two influenza reference centers, from week 40/2023 to week 44/2023, 12 samples positive for influenza viruses (sentinel samples and hospital samples) have been recorded, namely 11 (92%) were type A and one (8%) ) type B. All type A strains belonged to subtype A(H1)pdm09
