To get vaccinated against covid-19, especially those over 60 years old, the Minister of Health, Michalis Chrysochoidis, urged citizens today.
Speaking at the start of the Ygeiamou conference “Vaccination and Public Health: Challenges and Prospects” organized by “Proto Thema” the minister noted that “the lesson we learned from covid is that science can, has tools to face all enemies” and referred to the way the pandemic was managed and the vaccination program, calling it “exemplary”.
According to Mr. Chrysochoidis, we have had three achievements in recent years. “The first of public health and the second the Greeks enjoyed a state that proved to serve the citizens perfectly. Third issue is the victory of reason, which is ultimately “the victory of Democracy as it is a framework of social contract”.
He noted that “health was a field of political confrontation in the pre-election period, not by chance” and that “the obligation of the government and the Ministry of Health is to deliver to the citizens a health system with high-level services, while at the same time we will fight in the field of prevention”.
He underlined the need for equal access to health for all, saying that “we will go to every village”.
