Finally “Emma” for the actress, who invites us to call her by her real name.
In the revelation that she prefers to be called by her real name, the Emma Stoneon the sidelines of her interview.
The actress, who recently won an Oscar First Female Role for her participation in the film “Poor Things” of George Lanthimos, speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, revealed that she prefers her first name to her stage name.
“I wish I was Emily”she said while sitting next to her ‘Curse’ co-star Nathan Fielder.

The 35-year-old actress explained that she initially chose “Emma Stone” because another actress and member of the SAG-AFTRA union had already taken “Emily Stone.”
“Then I got scared. For some reason, though, I said I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily,” she added.
“Nathan calls me Em, which is easier”, she said, while admitting that for her fans… she is also filming “Emma”, since if someone called her that, she wouldn’t correct him.

Before her acting career, however, she had the opposite opinion. “Growing up, I was super blonde, and while my real name is Emily, I wanted to be called Emma,” as she confessed during an episode of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” in 2018 that she was a fan of Emma Lee Bunton of the Spice Girls.
He even revealed that, in the second grade, “I went to the teacher on the first day and asked her to call me Emma”.
