Actress Sophia Bush proves that it is never too late to realize one’s sexual orientation Marie Claire

After a series of brief relationships, including with her co-stars in various series, she began dating businessman Grant Hughes, whom they married in 2022.

She also said that something happened before her wedding which almost drove her to him cancel. When he started the treatments infertilityhowever, there came a time when she realized how she really felt about her relationship: “I was trying to get through months of ultrasounds, hormones and tests while simultaneously realizing that
the person next to me didn’t speak the same language as me».

This was the difficult reality of her marriage, which ended 13 months later after she went through a long process of processing and coming to terms with her feelings.

The important thing in Bush’s case is not the coming outbut the fact that she herself reached the end of it difficult journey and she understood who she was and what she wanted, after years of internal repression, which happened perhaps unconsciously.

“I can’t explain how deep it is. I feel like I’ve had a weight on me for I don’t know how long. And I didn’t realize how heavy it was until I dropped it. This may sound crazy – but I think people dealing with trauma can relate – I now feel like I can take deep breaths.

In some ways Bush was living a double life in relation to her real self. He may have loved the people he was paired with and had a good time with them, but always she was missing something. She couldn’t be 100% herself, which she managed after a lot of her own work and admitting that she’s queer first and foremost to herself. This journey was long and exhausting for her, as she confessed, but in the end he offered her what she was looking for.

THE Sophia Bush she also referred to the LGBTQ+ community, saying that she has experienced a lot of safety, respect and love within it, even before she said she belonged to it.

Speaking to Glamor , Bush expressed her displeasure with the notion that “ought” to come out, but she said she decided to make it public for reasons visibility in a period when the LGBTQ+ communities are in defense mode.

“Within 2023 over 500 bills have been proposed in various states against LGBTQ+ and for this reason I wanted to connect my movement with the respect and honor it deserves”

Finally, Bush disproved them once and for all rumours who wanted Harris to be the third person in her marriage, saying they have known each other for years and became close after their respective divorces last summer. Then they got to know each other better and, as Bush pointed out, she felt the universe conspired in her favor.

“It took me 41 years to get here. When I think back over the last few years, I can tell you that this is the first time I have behaved with such integrity.
