Celebrities who celebrated Earth Day by promoting sustainability – From Jessica Alba to Pamela Anderson

The institution was inspired by activist John McConnell in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco, and the first events in several US states began on March 21 of the same year.

Since then, several celebrities have been trying to raise public awareness about Earth Day with their speeches. In fact, yesterday several people published videos and photos on social media to show their followers the importance of protecting the planet at a time when climate change imposes the need to help the environment.

Actress Salma Hayek posted a story on her personal Instagram account in which she is wearing a green dress hugging a tree and writing: “Happy Earth Day, let’s love and take care of the Earth as ourselves.”

Kendall Jenner

Famous model Kendall Jenner shared a story about Earth Day by sending her own message about her 818 tequila. “Happy Earth Day! From the agaves we grow, to the production of our bottle, 818 emphasizes the importance of the Earth in everything we do.”

Actress Zooey Deschanel also joined in the Earth Day celebration as she shared a video on Instagram in which she posed behind a large flowering plant.

Presenter Ellen DeGeneres posted an image of herself wearing a blue shirt and garden apron, surrounded by colorful flowers, explaining that she was going to donate money to plant 10,000 trees.
