Celine Dion revealed the reason she never borrows clothes from fashion designers

The 55-year-old singer, who is facing health problems, was one of the most famous faces in the biggest runway shows, but despite this, in an interview with French Vogue, she said that she does not want to borrow clothes from designers and prefers to buy them.

“I always bought everything myself. I didn’t want to borrow. It is a form of respect. People pay to come hear me sing, so I pay to buy designer clothes».

She also reminisces about her first designer purchase after the big hit with her first English album Unison in 1990.

“I’ll never forget the Karl Lagerfeld show, he looked at me and said, ‘You remind me of Maria Callas.’ I put on a Karl jacket and felt like I had bought diamonds.”

The singer looked stunning in the photoshoot for the magazine as she posed topless wearing an oversized white shirt and white shorts.

The singer, who revealed she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) via Instagram in 2022, said she was “learning to live with it”.

Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is a degenerative disease that causes uncontrollable convulsions. The main symptoms are muscle stiffness in the trunk and limbs, along with episodes of muscle spasms. These can be triggered by environmental stimuli (such as loud noises) or emotional stress.

Most people start showing symptoms between the ages of 30 and 60.

There is currently no cure for SPS, but there are steps that can be taken to slow down the symptoms – something the singer revealed she is investigating.

The star made one last surprise appearance on stage at the Grammy Awards in February, as she presented Taylor Swift with her award for album of the year, after several years out of the limelight.
