Melina Makri was invited to the show “Everything for our life” presented by Michalis Kefalogiannis.

The well-known singer spoke about Hashimoto’s Disease, the thyroid disorder from which she suffers.

“I have Hashimoto’s. I discovered it when I was 18 years old and I was scared because I was little. My mom took me for a test and as soon as it came out that I had it I started crying. It’s part of your daily routine, so you don’t recognize that you’re tired from the routine. You say I’m more tired this week, this month. I had ups and downs. I would come home from school crying and in a bad mood for no reason. I took things more seriously and kept telling my mom that I was tired,” Melina Makri said initially.

“It disrupts the hormones, you feel tired, that I’m constantly hungry and I don’t have the feeling of satiety. It disrupts a lot of hormones, crying, pessimism while in general I am a happy and smiling person. I was coming home and this thing was coming out,” added the former singer of the band Vegas.
