Maria Tzompanaki: The strong reaction via Instagram to the negative comments about the funeral of Nikiforos in “Sasmos”

The developments in “Samos” have peaked in the last few days, while in last night’s episode we watched the funeral of Nikiforos and the mourning of Calliope and Vasiliki.

There were many objections from the viewers about the way Nikiforos’ funeral was presented and the Maria Tzompanaki he wanted to position himself and restore the truth.

“All the funerals from another century” wrote a follower of “Sasmos” on the official profile of the series on Instagram.

The above comment was answered by Maria Tzobanaki, who hastened to clarify: “Not from another century at all. In Crete we honor the dead in this way. And when a young man leaves, he also includes elements of marriage in this difficult farewell. Because the dead man did not live to see him. We also bury their dead in a built grave. We don’t pour soil over it, but the grave is sealed for some years. For centuries now Crete has kept its customs. Don’t make fun of something you don’t know.”
