Queen Elizabeth: Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron appeared in sportswear at the funeral

The French presidential couple went to London to be among the dignitaries at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron made an impression with their appearance outside Westminster on Sunday (18/9), garnering a barrage of negative comments from the British and French about their tourist surroundings.

What shocked most about Macron’s appearance was the their choice to wear sports shoes. The French President wore gray trousers, a blue jacket, and a scarf around his neck, with sneakers and black glasses, while Brigitte Macron also wore a similar outfit.

Many characterized their appearance disrespectful and shameful, while many spoke again about the narcissistic side of Emmanuel Macron, because of his choice to draw all the limelight on himself.

However, the appearance chosen by the Macron couple upon arrival was different at Westminster Abbey, London, at noon on Monday (19/9).
