The adjudication of the case of retroactive pensioners concerns those who have filed lawsuits until July 2020. Anyone who has not filed a lawsuit by then cannot do so now. The number amounts to approximately 370,000 and concerns the gifts of the main and auxiliary pensions.
The cuts in supplementary pensions from 300 euros and above will not be decided by the Supreme Special Court.
Retrospectives of pensioners: The proposals and the reactions
According to the labor expert Ms. Papathanasopoulou, there should be a political decision to provide them for everyone and not just those who have filed an appeal.
There are 900,000 pending who are not entitled to anything as they have not appealed. After the court decision the government will consider whether they will be given to everyone or not.
“Those who appealed are also not sure whether there will be a positive decision or not. A separate decision will be given for each lawsuit. The Supreme Court will determine whether or not the cuts are legal. If we are talking about a decision of the Court then we are definitely talking about 2-3 years for its execution. People should not expect that something will be done immediately, if it is done”, Ms. Papathanasopoulou emphasized.

Auxiliary: 2 monthly pensions
The court will not rule on cuts in supplementary pensions. The final decision is expected within two months.
