Over 50,000 orders in less than half an hour for Xiaomi’s first car

The public seems to be responding particularly warmly to Xiaomi’s new venture that has to do with the automotive industry and indeed, in its most advanced form. The all-electric SU7 that we recently saw ready for production and for which the company is taking orders seems to have convinced many with its features.

High-ranking officials of the Chinese company confirm that the demand for the car, which is expressed through the number of pre-orders, has exceeded 5 times the expectations that the company itself had for the model. In fact, the first orders were also a big surprise for Xiaomi’s managers.

In just 27 minutes of the hour, the orders recorded in the company’s system exceeded 50,000. It is worth reminding that the model began to be available on the Chinese market on March 28 and according to the data that the company released, within 24 hours it received over 90,000 orders for the SU7.

Among the great advantages of the model, apart from its specifications that make it competitive against the best of its kind (see Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, etc.) is also the best, more “moderate” pricing, which gives it a comparative advantage, wherever the model is available. It is worth noting that in the American market the SU7 is about 10,000 euros cheaper than the Tesla Model 3.
