A matter of a few 24 hours is the start of the submission of the 2024 tax returns. This year, however, there will be a big upheaval, which “breaks” the pattern of many years. As the financial staff made it abundantly clear, no extension will be granted this year, which means that the deadline for the tax return ends earlier than in other years.
THE submission deadline of the tax returns is the July 31, 2024.
And although Haris Theocharis had noted that if there is a delay in the opening of Taxisnet, an extension will be given for each day of delay and not until the end of the summer, the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, underlined that this year no extension will be given at all .
As Mr. Hatzidakis pointed out:
“They will remain open until July 31, the system is changing. Because I heard “you’re giving an extension because it’s late to start”, the system is changing. Be careful, we sell out from the beginning the entire period before the holidays, because let’s say August 1st in Greece is considered the period when the workers’ holidays start, but what we make clear is that we will NOT give an extension, I am against extensions, I want to clear accounts and with our friends the accountants. We have as many months as we have available to make the declarations, we don’t need to go and make them on July 30.”

To file a return for tax year 2023, you must be logged in HERE on Taxisnet the HERE via gov and then follow these steps:
- I select the year for which I wish to submit a statement.
- I confirm my personal information (AMKA, Date of Birth, Marital status, etc.).
- I fill in the E2 and E3 forms if there is an obligation. The wife submits the accompanying forms with her own passwords.
- I fill in the E1 form. Related messages guide the user and inform him of any need to check the submitted declaration by the D.O.Y.
- I am informed about the result of the liquidation.
- Submit the statement.
- I print the forms E1, E2, E3 and the act of administrative tax assessment.
