These are the 5 new small models coming soon and worth the wait

In the current year we expect to see many interesting new models from most companies. There is a “wave of renewal” at all levels and in all categories, with the difference that for our own market, the smallest category is very important and has a “special weight”. Therefore, the models that we expect in the coming months that belong to the small category are particularly important – and the five that we have highlighted will play a very important role.

1. Fiat Panda EV

The history of Fiat is full of successful small models, therefore it is of particular interest to wait for the model with which the Italian company “envisions” the future in the category. The first information about the next generation of the Panda, speak of a very capable purely electric model, with which Fiat will once again knock on the door of the top in sales. An important role in this will be played by its affordable purchase price, which is estimated to be close to the informal limit of 20 thousand euros and will make it highly competitive. The full unveiling of the model is expected in the summer, when we will have much more to say.

2. Mercedes-Benz A-City

Mercedes-Benz is preparing a proposal that will be the smallest in the range and will apparently be positioned below the A-Class. This is how the name “A-City” comes about, since the company’s smallest car will have many common mechanical parts with the German company’s next largest proposal. As in the case of the A-Class, so in the A-City, there will also be a crossover version – equivalent to the GLA – which will be called the A-Adventure. the logic of keeping the size within the limits of the small category will also reflect in the purchase price of the model – which will have a significant difference from the basic A-Class.

3. Mini 3d

The three-door Mini was originally launched as an all-electric but along the way, two thermal versions were added, the Cooper and Cooper S. For those who don’t want to get into the all-electric culture, Mini makes sure to offer the petrol engines with some differences in the grille but identical interior, the crowning glory of which is the impressive round OLED screen in the center of the dashboard. The engine under the front hood is the three-cylinder 1.5 TwinPower Turbo with an output of 156 hp in the basic version of the model, which will be priced from 25,550 euros.

4. Renault 5 EV

The first images of the model with which Renault is reviving the legendary “5-speed”, show us that the production model is almost identical to the 2021 prototype – and this, of course, is particularly positive since the spirit of the glorious ancestor is preserved intact. As in other aforementioned and non-mentioned cases, here too, the cost list that one has to calculate is close to 25,000 euros. As far as the purely electric powertrain is concerned, there will be two performance versions with 120 and 150 hp, which will obviously not be aimed at top performance on the road but mainly at increased autonomy.

5. Suzuki Swift

The fourth generation of Suzuki’s small model, which is particularly popular in our country, is already available for orders, with a starting price of 18,450 euros. The model has a redefined aesthetic, keeping the basic line that has played its part in its popularity unchanged. The design of the cabin has also been significantly upgraded, in which we see that the Japanese company has the most modern to show, which has “gifted” the new Swift with the most modern safety equipment, both passive and active. Under its hood it houses the mild hybrid power unit that has at its core the 1.2-liter gasoline engine, with an output of 82 horsepower.
