We have 13,000 rheumatic cases a year. 50% concerns electricity worth up to 4,500 euros. 25% between 4,500-10,000 euros. And 25% over 10,000 euros.
Rheumatoid arthritis is “massive”. They are mainly done by businesses(!). Those involved exceed 250,000 (!!).
The final hashura is estimated at 4.8% of the total energy market each year. This means theft (loss to the state) close to 400 million euros every year (!!).
Who pays for the damage?
The ever stupid (by world…) consistent consumers with their bills. One way is for the pseudo-socialist state of Greece to increase the electricity without giving an account to anyone…
The second way (we will see it in May) is described in the most authoritative report by my colleague Mr. Haris Fludopoulos “A drop in electricity prices in May due to power outages“…despite the fact that wholesale electricity is at extremely low levels in the month of April, it is highly doubtful that this reduction will be passed on to consumers through the green tariffs to be announced next week for May. And this is because, as happened with the April tariffs, for the May tariffs, the suppliers are asked to pay the additional cap for the electricity thefts and network losses of 2021 and 2022, which are significantly increased compared to the initial ones calculations of DEDDIE. This cost is expected to be passed on to consumers, distributing any benefit recorded in the wholesale market…”
What does the government officially say?
The person responsible for curbing street theft, the operator of the distribution network DEDDIE, together with the regulatory authority RAAEF has set a goal to reduce street theft by an average of 2% per year against penalties…
That is, (we say) “… grab the egg and get a haircut”
What is the government and political leadership saying?
“… henceforth, the electrician who will be irrevocably convicted of participation or complicity in electricity theft, will have his license revoked. Also, the framework surrounding the operation of electricians is being tightened in general, especially with regard to professional uses, where the largest rate of rheumatic thefts…”
That is (we say again..) “grab that same haircut again…”
What does the well-known prolific commentator tell us (finally). dante3232 from whom we got the stimulus (title) of our today’s note because we also agree with his findings?

A mess of laws, which conflict with others or override others, 100 types of courts, 20 years of decisions, paper – forms – parabolas, half life for a decision and another half for appeals – postponements, (one life is not enough to know if you were justified or not) you go to court with a weapon the law as defined by the legislator but the court does not count it because it makes a decision against the law etc. etc. We legislate and we do not legislate based on what a man will decide and let him say what the law wants.
By such a state as has rendered useless : Judicial power. Legislative authority. Protection of the citizen through the police. Public Administration, what exactly do you expect it to build and by whom?
