Until the end of the week, i.e. until next Friday, April 26, the AADE the system taxis to start submitting the tax returns 2024as announced the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis speaking to SKAI.
Mr. Hatzidakis said that the tax returns will be submitted until July 31.
The payment of the personal income tax, tax year 2023, takes place in eight equal monthly installmentsthe first of which is payable by 31 July 2024 and each of the following by the last working day of the following seven months.
The payment of the income tax of natural persons, tax year 2023, participating in legal persons and legal entities that keep aplographic books, is in six equal monthly installmentsthe first of which is payable by September 30, 2024 and each of the following by the last working day of the following five months.

Automatic submission
The first major change for this year has to do with the fact that pensioners and employees this year they will neither need to complete nor submit their tax return, as AADE will do it for them.
The other big change is for freelancers, self-employed, sole proprietorships, where deemed income amounts will be pre-populated on the tax return. Taxpayers, when completing their declaration, will see the minimum taxable income determined by AADEwhile based on the data obtained by AADE from myDATA, the codes of the E3 form with income and expenses will be pre-filled but “open” for corrections.
Employees – Pensioners
This year around one million employees and pensioners with no income from other sources will be able to submit the return automatically without having to fill in anything extra themselves.
In the event that they themselves have not submitted them by the final date – submission deadline, the returns will be automatically submitted at the expiry of the deadline by the Independent Public Revenue Authority, so that none of these taxpayers is allowed to submit a late initial return.
