Official: This is the new smart Concept #5

According to the Germans, its design is based on the needs of outdoor adventure, which at the same time, also requires features such as four-wheel drive and off-road tires. Elements that make Concept #5 the perfect companion for all kinds of adventures and activities.

Let’s start with the appearance of the model, which has unique features. It has a box shape, with short overhangs, protective aprons both front and rear, hidden integrated towing winch but also a folding step at the back, which gives access to the specially designed roof. Where the impressive lighting bar stands out.

Equipped with the ADAS system with smart Pilot taking over navigation both on the highway and in urban environmentsproviding safety and comfort in all driving situations.

Concept #5 features an 800 volt powertrain and a 100+ kWh rated battery. This allows ultra-fast charging, with the possibility of recovering up to 70% of energy (10-80%) in just 15 minutes. As for the electric range, it is defined as more than 550 kilometers between charges.

As it is the largest smart ever built, it offers space and comfort for all passengers. THE characteristic use of horizontally aligned elements and conveniently arranged interfaces to control all functions creates a clean, organized feel throughout the interior and ensures a pleasant user experience.

At the heart of the technologically advanced cabin is a large console with a newly designed human-machine interface layout and two integrated OLED technology screens. Powered by the high-performance AMD V2000, these displays provide optimal access to the vehicle’s numerous functions. The special lighting and additional elements such as the portable speaker integrated into the center console are extra touches of uniqueness in the Concept #5.

The zero-gravity passenger seat offers an innovative combination of comfort and safety. The seat has new airbag solutions, providing high safety in the event of a collision. Beyond safety, it incorporates comfort features such as heating, ventilation, massage functions and foot support.

smart Concept #5 presents a perspective on the possibilities of integrating the latest generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into a vehicle. The main feature will be a state-of-the-art tool from the experts in this field, Cerence. This allows the driver and passengers to have fun conversations with the AI ​​system’s virtual assistant. Using intelligent in-vehicle interaction technologies, it provides accurate and relevant answers to almost any question imaginable. The driver can also control basic functions by voice command only, such as making phone calls and sending messages, selecting music as well as controlling the media system, air conditioning, navigation, checking the vehicle and also searching for information such as for the weather and others.
