MG EXE181: Lands in Beijing (+video)

--

At the Beijing International Auto Show MG Motor will also present a prototype which will not only stand out for its design but also for the purpose for which it was created.

It’s about EXE181 Hypercaran exhibition of ideas and technology from the executives of the British company, which aims to distinguish itself in terms of its performance.

As announced by MG Motor the purely electric vehicle has four electric motors which will have the ability to accelerate it from 0-100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds.

The design of the body has been done in a way that allows it. According to what became known, the people of the company were inspired for it by the MG EX181 with which in August 23, 1957 The Sterling Moss broke the land speed record, setting 395.310 km/h at Bonneville Speedway (USA).

The bodywork of MG Motor’s modern prototype has aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.181 and distinguished by its front and rear active wings, wheel covers and elongated rear.

Its interior is shaped like a cockpit and the hood is transparent and extends as low as the bumper.

THE MG Motor has not announced details regarding the technology and performance of its electric motors. After all, it is a prototype in which some of the designs of the company’s people are applied.

However, apart from the immediate acceleration from a standstill, its final speed will be high and will require the use of parachutes to slow it down, i.e. like the prototype vehicles built to break the land speed record.
