Labor Minister Domna Michaelidou has pointed out that “those employers who do not give the Easter gift are illegal. And we can now see this automatically through ERGANIS, where we see and control all payrolls.”

Retrospectives for self-employed mothers

The retrospective amounts of 6 months of the allowance for self-employed mothers and farmers who gave birth to a child from September 24, 2023 and an effort will be made by the services to be paid at the end of April. However, even if they are credited later, the payment will be made in one installment.

The insured will receive the minimum wage (830 euros) for nine months, i.e. a total of 7,470 euros.

The self-employed women who are entitled to the allowance are estimated at 5,000-6,000 if of course they are insurance aware and have no debt to the EFKA>

At the end of April, women who gave birth from January 1, 2023 onwards will receive an increased birth allowance. The new birth allowance ranges from 2,400 to 3,500 euros, depending on the number of children and retroactively from 1/1/2023. The beneficiary is the mother who resides permanently and legally in Greece and has an annual family income of up to 40,000 euros.

In addition, at the end of April, the increases and retrospectives from the recalculation of pensions will be paid to approximately 2,000 beneficiaries from Legal Entities under Public Law, while in May they will be paid to 10,000 former bank employees.
