The abolition of the Pensioner Solidarity Contribution brings increases in pensions of up to 71 euros

The scenario of abolishing the Pensioner Solidarity Contribution (EAS) from the auxiliary and reducing it to the main one is on the table of the Ministry of Labor, according to a publication of the Free Press.

Before the memoranda the average supplementary pension was around 300 euros, while after the cuts it is around 170 euros.

What will be the impact of the abolition of the EAS on the auxiliaries? It will mean increases of 10 to 71 euros per month or from 120 euros to 852 euros per year for around 400,000 old and new pensioners who receive an initial gross supplementary pension of more than 300 euros, as analyzed in the same publication.

As mentioned, the biggest increases from the abolition will be pensioners with supplementary from DEKO Funds and banks. New pensioners from all Funds will also benefit from an abolition of the EAS, as long as they receive an additional pension of more than 300 euros.

In particular, older pensioners with supplementary benefits from the DEKO Fund earn up to 71 euros per month, if the EAS is abolished.

New pensioners with an auxiliary from any State Fund earn up to 29 euros per month.
