As an employee tells Alpha, “I work in a catering business, I have asked my employer to take the necessary actions to increase the minimum wage. I also have many colleagues and friends who work in catering businesses and face the same problem.” In fact, he emphasizes: “Employers refuse to give them the increase.”

The complainant works eight hours. He is paid the minimum wage and his employer refuses to proceed with the increase from 780 to 830 euros gross or from 666 to 707 euros net.

“The rents are very expensive. Life in general has become very expensive and everyone is waiting for this change,” the worker tells Alpha. However, the fines for employers who refuse to increase the minimum wage are steep. These are:
