From the April bills, the discount from the heating allowance for electricity will begin to appear to consumers: Beneficiaries – as is known – will not see money in the bank as assistance since they belong to the category of households that heat in the winter months with electricity . The reason is none other than the fact that this allowance is not granted as a financial aid, but as a discount on the electricity bill.

Vangelis Durakis writes

The electricity subsidy given to households concerns in the period from 1 January to 31 March 2024 and ranges from 45 to 480 euros for the entire period of application of the measure, according to enikonomia.gr.

Which electricity bills will the discount appear on?

Data related to Postal Codes, municipalities and settlements are used for its provision of the country. These are the degree days, which are an indicator of the severity of the climate of an area and are used to calculate the heating loads of a building and the required energy consumption for its heating.

According to the above approved amounts will not go into a bank account and the reason that the beneficiaries of the electricity aid will not see the money in its … physical form, is that the amount attributed to them it will appear as a discount on your electricity bill and specifically the one that will cover the period January – March 2024.
