New data emerges for the start date of tax declarations, as, in all probability, the AADE will not be able to be “faithful” to the April 22 appointment.
The AADE and the financial staff had “stepped on the gas” to open the application for tax declarations as soon as possible after the delay beyond March 31, with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Haris Theoharis, declaring from the podium Parliament last week how the government had to wait “to get the bill gazetted” so as to open possibilities today (22.4.2024).
However, this did not happen, despite the publication of the new Tax Procedure Code in the Official Gazette on Saturday, April 20, and thus the most chances for the opening are concentrated from tomorrow onwards, but certainly, according to AADE sources on newsit.gr, ” in the week”.
The new deadlines
Thus, in case the surprise does not happen today and the opening of the platform with the pre-filled declarations takes place tomorrow, the deadlines are as follows:
If the platform opens tomorrow, April 23, then the end of their submission period will be postponed to July 23, as Mr. Theoharis had previously announced that the deadline would be extended by a corresponding number of days for each day of delay in their launch beyond the 31st Of March.
Nothing, however, is expected to change in the time frame within which the installments must be paid, despite the delay in the launch of the platform, as sources from the Ministry of Finance and newsit.gr had emphasized. Thus, the first must be paid by July 31, 2024, and the last by February 28, 2025. Those who pay in one go will receive a 3% discount.
It is noted that the deadlines for the expiration of the statements will be changed accordingly again if the platform does not open tomorrow and is postponed until later in the week.
