A new technology was presented by Hyundaiwhich manages to reduce the temperature inside a car without using the air conditioning system.

Controlling the temperature inside a car is of huge importance in a car, especially if it is sold in countries like Greece where the summer temperature is well over 30 degrees Celsius.

The insulation of a car and the effectiveness of its air conditioning system are the two most important elements in keeping the temperature inside at levels that are not dangerous for passengers and the driver, and solar films can also contribute to this.

The latest developments in solar films come from Hyundai, which has developed and presented the Nano Cooling Film, a new type of film, which comes to further reduce the temperature in the cabin of a vehicle.

According to the Korean company, the Nano Cooling Film has a superior performance compared to conventional films that can be installed in the car. At the same time, a big advantage of Hyundai’s membrane is the fact that it is transparent and not tinted it can also be installed in cars, in countries where tinted gels are prohibited. It can also be combined with tinted film for even better results.

The Nano Cooling Film consists of three different layers and has a structure that allows it to block specific wavelengths of infrared radiation from entering the interior, while allowing some of the thermal radiation inside the cabin to “escape” through the glass surfaces to the environment .

Hyundai says that by applying Nano Cooling Film to the car’s glass surfaces, the temperature near the driver’s head can be reduced up to almost 11 degrees Celsius compared to a conventional tinted film and up to 12 degrees Celsius compared to a car without tinted films on windows and windshields.

In addition, Koreans report that temp on the dashboard it was 15.38 degrees Celsius lower than a car with conventional tinted gels and 22 degrees lower than an unprotected model.

The Koreans’ new technology is still in development, however Hyundai intends to continue with its development and then move it into mass production and apply it to the cars it produces.
