During Holy Week high-ranking officials of OPEKEPE assure “YX” that ithe remaining payments for EAE 2023 are made. As they emphasize, the balance of EAE 2023, amounting to 88 million euros, the Connected Aids, amounting to approximately 225 million, and the Ecological Schemes, amounting to 425 million euros, will be paid to the beneficiaries. In addition, positive developments are expected in a large number of reserved TINs from previous payments, as, according to information from the Agency, a large part of them has been checked and is ready to be released.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, April 17, the president of OPEKEPE, Kyriakos Babasidis, signed the circular which defines the procedure for approving Direct Aid payments under the new CAP. The process includes, among others, Linked Reinforcements and Ecological Schemes.
Based on the approved procedure, the sampling will be carried out through the information system supporting the EAE. The rate of sampling of farmers’ applications should be 1‰, the circular notes.
In particular, by the application software, the sample of the producers to be checked will be determined computerized, by random sampling, which is printed as a control sample in the form of a detailed payment statement.
One auditor will conduct an audit of the entire sample, while the second will conduct a sample audit of 10% of the beneficiaries audited by the first auditor.
