Apologies are in progress in Evelpidon of 31 of the 67 arrested for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis last December in Rentis as well as a series of other criminal acts.

Of the 31 who were brought to court today, 15 have completed their pleas and two have been remanded in custody.

He is a 31-year-old man who allegedly has a leading role in the criminal organization of hooligans.

Investigators and Prosecutors have already decided according to information on the pre-trial detention of two defendants, one of whom is mentioned in the case file with the nickname “Kokos” and is 31 years old, while the other is 26 years old.

For four, the judicial authority ruled that they will be released with restrictive conditions.

Among them the minor brother of the 18-year-old remanded in custody for the murder of the policeman. In his apology, the minor allegedly referred to the evening of December 7 when the policeman was fatally shot outside the stadium in Renti, saying that he was there and threw a naval flare.

The 16-year-old accused reportedly said he was with his brother, who has reportedly confessed to throwing the fatal flare into the stadium while the match had started and that after the first set, the stadium door opened and he saw about 100 people running outwardly.

“Then my brother followed them to see what was going on. So I went outside to see what was going on. In my effort to reach my brother, who was quite a distance ahead of me, I remained on the spot for some minutes in the crowd, when some stranger gave me a flare to hold.

First time in my life I caught a flare, I didn’t know exactly what it is and how it works. As soon as I realized that there was some dangerous object in my hand, I got scared and immediately let it go from my hand and threw it down.”

Among those who have been released is a man accused of numerous felonies. In particular, the restrictive conditions of the ban on entering the playing fields, the ban on leaving the country and the mandatory appearance at the Police Station were imposed.

The apologies continue.
