31-year-old “Kokos” remanded in custody

One of the 4 detainees is a 31-year-old man, known by the nickname “Kokos”, who, according to the file, “attends the matches of the Olympiakos team, in all sports and is usually on the field wearing accreditation. As it appears from the collected pre-investigation material, this is one of the leading executives, he appears to be inciting Olympiacos fans to the occurrence of incidents, while his participation in criminal acts, either as a physical perpetrator or as a moral perpetrator, has also emerged. It stands out in Gate 7, as it sits with (….), in an area where credentialists are allowed. He also moves freely in all areas of the stadiums without any restrictions, i.e. he enters any door he wants during the match, roams the pitch and gives orders to the organizer of the stands who conveys them to the organized fans with the duduka. He derives financial benefits from the above-mentioned “daily wages” and does not hesitate to come into confrontation with the other leading members of the Criminal Organization, when he is threatened with losing a share of them.

The brother of the 18-year-old who was remanded in custody for the murder of the policeman is free

Among the defendants who were released is the 16-year-old brother of the 18-year-old who has been remanded in custody for the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis, who was imposed the conditions of compulsory appearance in AT and the ban on watching matches.

According to information, during his apology to the juvenile investigator, he allegedly asserted that “I am a fan of the Olympiacos team and so from time to time I watch Olympiacos matches at the stadium, without being an organized fan of the team nor a member of any of its associations and without ever to have been involved in incidents prior to the contentious acts for which I am accused. It should be noted that I have only been to the stadium a few times as a fan of the team, always accompanied by my brother due to my minor age. I never had anything to do with the organized fans of Olympiakos. I do not know their actions, their goals, nor the persons who participate in it.”
Referring to the incidents, he is reported to have said that when he arrived at the stadium the match had started. “Suddenly, after the first set the court door opened and I saw about 100 people running out. Then my brother followed them to see what was going on. So I went outside to see what was going on. In my effort to reach my brother, who was quite a distance ahead of me, I remained on the spot for some minutes in the crowd, when some stranger gave me a flare to hold. First time in my life I caught a flare, I didn’t know exactly what it is and how it works. As soon as I realized that there was some dangerous object in my hand, I was scared, I immediately let it go from my hand and immediately threw it down.”
