The 16-year-old brother of the 18-year-old who has been remanded in custody for the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis was released after his apology, with the restrictive conditions of a mandatory appearance at a police station and a ban on entering sports matches.

Another defendant was released on condition after his plea. The apologies of those arrested continue.

According to what the 16-year-old told the authorities, he had held a flare given to him by one of the leaders of the hooligans, but without launching it. Thus justifying his fingerprints and dna found on a flare launcher.

“The moment I went out to yell for my brother to go back and not go to the episodes someone I don’t know gave me a flare. I asked what it was and he said let’s go throw it away. I let her out of my hands and re-entered the field.”

According to the statements, the organizer distributed flares to the young people to throw at the police, having pre-planned the incidents. The 18-year-old testified to the judicial officer: “He gave me the flare, I went to leave, he pulled me and said Where are you going, m…. I will c….”

In the courts 31 of the criminal organization

31 defendants were brought to court on Saturday who are facing serious charges related to the action of a criminal organization in which the judicial authorities also charge the murderous attack with a naval flare against the police officer outside the closed stadium in Renti last December.

This is the first group of defendants brought before the Investigators handling the case of hooligans. The case file filed for the case of the organized fans includes a total of 28 charges, of which 12 are felonies.

  • Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Rentis – police officer – episodes
  • Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosives and incendiary materials which may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
  • Extortion by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
  • Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
  • Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
  • Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
  • Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
  • Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
  • Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
  • Violence against another during a sporting event.
  • Possession of items that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.
  • Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
  • Possession of objects capable of causing bodily harm.
  • Theft by complicity.
  • Illegal gun possession.
  • Illegal carrying of firearms.
